MCPHERSON, KS- Mid-America Christian University had five soccer players named to the Mr. Tee Classic All-Tournament team. Three men were selected for the team: Bryce Jantz, who scored two goals in the tournament, freshman Martin Maese, and freshman John Gonsalves. The Evangels were 1-1 in the Mr. Tee Classic. The two women selected from MACU were Sophomore Lindsey Nehr and junior Lindsey McKinney.
Idaho State lost the Governor's Cup title that they have held the last two years with the 2-1 loss to Boise State and 2-0 loss to Idaho. Sophomore Taylor Powell recorded the only goal of the tournament against Boise State which was assisted by junior Annamarie Hofstetter. Powell's goal is the second of her career. Idaho State unleashed 16 shots, 5 on goal over the weekend.
The Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team returns to action on Sunday, September 14 at noon, when they host the Eastern Michigan University Eagles at FAU Field, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. The Owls are 64-22-3 at home, spanning Brian Dooley's nine years as head coach. FAU's 2008 defensive unit is anchored by senior all-conference defender Janeke Simpkins.

Highlighted by another All-American performance from goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher (Seymour, Conn.), the No. 10 Nittany Lion women's soccer team (4-1) held off a feisty Bucknell squad (2-2-1) Sunday evening at Jeffrey Field to grab a 4-2 victory. Penn State's tremendous trio of All-American Katie Schoepfer (Waterford, Conn.), sophomore Dani Toney (Northville, Mich.) and newcomer Nikki Watts (Hungerford, England) produced most of the offense again for the Nittany Lions, with at least one of the three in on each goal against Bucknell.
