It was a weekend of sweeps for Florida State as it downed South Dakota State in three sets (25-19, 25-23, 25-17) on the final day of the Seminole Tri-Tournament Sunday, September 7. The Seminoles also swept North Florida 3-0 on Friday night to win their final home tournament of the season and extend their record to 5-1.

In the early going of Sunday afternoon's volleyball match against Pacific University, the Colorado State Rams certainly looked liked a team playing its second match in less than 24 hours. Colorado State struggled in the opening set against Pacific but then responded by winning each of the final three sets to post a 3-1 (20-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-21) win.
Corvallis, Ore. - The Pacific women's volleyball team put a scare into No. 17 Colorado State, taking the first set 25-20, but eventually gave way to the Rams, 3-1, on Sunday, Sept. 7 in the final match for both team at the Oregon State / Asics Classic.
